Empty Chairs We Love!
I thought I’d pull together a few photographs of empty chairs from my travels from the last year or so. There’s something really poetic about an empty chair. Next time you travel, pay attention to the empty chairs around you.
I spotted these colorful chairs on my travels to Dublin. I wound up buying a couple of these stacking chairs by Jerszy Seymour after I got back.
I just love the lights and the colors in this photograph. I was in my favorite doughnut shop in Seattle – Top Pot Dougnuts – working on my laptop when I looked up and noticed no one around me. Luckily I had my camera on me.
Swoon! These lovely orange chairs were sitting in front of the restaurant Boon Eat + Drink in Guernesville, CA. These chairs are so inviting – I wish I knew where I could get me a couple of them. Any ideas?
Though technically not a chair, this bench was such a nice sight. Taken in Buenos Aires, Argentina, around the time when gay marriage was legalized in 2010, the graffiti on this bench caught my attention. I was really excited to be in Argentina when gay marriage was passed! Hurrah Argentina!
Portas Do Sol, a cute cafe in Lisbon, Portugal, had lovely sofas and seating on a terrace that overlooks the Tagus River. Having a cocktail at sunset on the terrace was the perfect way to wind down.
Andreas and I were the first ones at Poblenou Bar Tapas in Valparaiso, Chile. This, of course, didn’t stop us from eating pretty much the whole delicious menu. We loved Poblenou!
