Delicious Gluttony: Oz Korean BBQ

Eating at Oz Korean BBQ in Sacramento

It’s been a few months since our last visit to Oz Korean BBQ in Sacramento (3343 Bradshaw Rd), not because we didn’t want to visit more often – because we did – but simply because we are total gluttons whenever we go and our waistlines invariably suffer.  But tonight we decided to pay the restaurant a visit because we were feeling particularly celebratory and both of us had a strong hankering for very good Korean marinated meats. The restaurant is equipped with both gas and electric grills at tables – we recommend the gas grills.  Don’t even look at the menu – just order the all-you-can meat extravaganza, which is $19 per person.  It includes an assortment of marinated meats, a bowl of rice, and an assortment of kimchi side dishes. We often finish many of the side dishes (the kimchi is quite good), and the servers are more than happy to bring you more.  Because this an all-you-can-eat deal, you can eat until buttons start popping off your clothes – and believe me, it’s almost happened to me.  The servers are quite attentive and will often stop by and ask if everything is ok.  Be forewarned: weekends can get pretty crowded (be prepared to wait, though reservations are available for larger groups).  If you are stopping in before going to another event, be prepared to smell like fried meat.  The downside of the Oz experience is that the smell of all the grilling will, without fail, cling onto your clothes, your hair, and your skin.  That said, if you want an evening of very delicious Korean bbq, Oz is definitely for you.  We definitely recommend!
